SmartFax Cannot cancel their services ripoff Lecanto Florida

Have you ever tried something and then regret it.
Well that should be SmartFax new promo:
Try it, Regret it.

The faxing service was marginal at best but their automated billing system is even worse. To top that, they make it impossible for you to cancel the service AND continue charging your account during this cancellation period. They even go so far as to lock you out so you can't access your account online anymore.
In a nut shell, to cancel the service you have to download a cancellation form and fax the form to them. That is fine, except they will claim they didn't get it. In my case they made that claim 3 times - this says scores of how marginal their faxing service is.

Once I finally got them to admit they recieved the form and throught the account was cancelled, they made the claim (via email) that I owed them 52 cents and they would not cancel the service until the $0.52 was paid. Did I not just pay the account?

Remember how bad the online payment system is? How convenient!

So, they continue charging you.

I have now tried 5 times to cancel the SmartFax account, 3 via fax and twice via a direct call. We'll see if this one goes through.
