The UPS Store/Steve Howk Property Damage Redding California

 After taking photos for a survey for Small Biz Buzz the store manager, Steve Howk approached my truck as I was waiting to pull out in to traffic. He was very upset and wanted to know why I was taking pictures of "his" store. I told him it was for a survey for Small Biz Buzz and he had nothing to worry about. He continued to yell at me saying I had no right to take photos of his store. He then started to walk away and I started to pull out of the parking lot, as I did he turned around and broke the window out of my camper shell on my truck with his hand. I turned around and went back to talk to him about it and he tried to deny he did it. After threatening to call the police he finally admitted he did it and would pay for it if I got an estimate. I spent the next 2 hours driving all over town just to find out that because the camper was so old I could not get a new bubble window for it. I did find a plastics dealer that could cut new, flat pieces of Plexiglas to fit the window opening for $82.00. Since they were not an installer I would have to install the windows my self. I took the estimate back to him and he gave me a check. He then tried to tell me that the whole thing was my fault and I should learn a lesson from all of it. I tried to explain to him that he had no right to destroy other people’s property, no matter what, and that he needed to apologize for what he had done. After 10 more minutes of arguing with me he finally said, in a very snotty voice "SORRY!". I really don't know what I should do now. I think that he should be fired at the very least. I also think that I should be compensated for my gas and labor for installing the window myself. This whole incident was very stressful and frustrating. As a result I will never go back to The UPS Store again. I will also I make sure all my friends and colleges know about this incident as well.
