VERIZON The Great Verizon FIOS RIPOFF Tampa Florida

Welcome to the Great Verizon Rippoff.   To get this rippoff you need to sign up for a 2 year agreement with Verizon FIOS Triple Play.  Then wait 2 years.  After 2 years you will then not be notified that your original agreement (the monthly billing rate) will no longer be valid, Verizon will simply continue to bill you at the new rate (about 40 percent higher).  Then when you finally see you've  been paying a lot more you'll be pissed and look online.  On the website Verizon will have a great rate, but that wont be the rate they will offer you.  No, no, -- you are existing customer meat for the slaughter.  That online price is only for suckering in NEW customers off a cable provider.  Then after 2 years they hit you with the equivalent of a $800 increase over a 2 year contract.  (That's a real number.)

You see this is how the game of competition is played.  Verizon wants to suck in as many customers off cable as possible, they want the cable provider to die.  So Verizon offers this great rate to NEW customers only.  Then they hit you after 2 years with a huge increase.

This is where you need to jump ship.  Telling Verizon you will cancel service if they won't honor the advertised price doesn't help, I tried.  Verizon simple stated  "No, would you like to schedule your disconnect?".  Disconnect Verizon service, have them UPS prepaid boxes to return equipment, AND MOST OF ALL make sure you have them remove the terminal from your garage or side of your house.  They would love to leave the terminal attached to your property, but make them remove it, including the fiber line from the house to the street.  Allow nothing that  was installed to remain on your property.  Force as much cost to them as possible.

So that is the Great Verizon Rippoff.
