Walmart Walmart.com Walmart sold me a computer with a bootleg/stole copy of Windows Nationwide

I purchased a reburbished desktop HP DX 7400 from Walmart in January 2015. One month later, a message pops up asking me to validate/register my copy of Windows. I tried to do so and discovered that the copy of Windows loaded on this computer is not valid.

I called Walmart to ask about a return. They told me the return policy for electronics is 30 days. Fortunately - or so I thought - I had purchased the extended warranty. I contacted the warranty company, filed a claim, and was told I was within Walmart's 50 day return policy. No, says Walmart, the return policy is only 30 days for electronics.

I again contacted the warranty company and was referred to HP who promptly told me that refurbished items are not warranted by their company.

Within four months I have purchased four products from Walmart that are defective. They refused the return of an electic blanket after two weeks because I did not retain the original packaging. The same thing happened with an electric throw that worked for about four weeks. They did accept the return of a small electric heater that didn't work from the get-go that was still in the original box. Now the computer.

This is outrageous.
