Care - Closed account with no explanation and no refund Woburn MA

On 06/29/25 I purchased a 3-month subscription from Care.com and was charged approximately $74.85. Within 24 hours, my account was placed on hold and then completely closed with no clear explanation. I was told only that I had violated “Community Guidelines,” but Care.com has refused to tell me which guideline or what action allegedly caused the violation.

After reviewing all my communications, I identified that another user voluntarily sent me her phone number — which I did not request or use. If this triggered the closure, then the company’s policy enforcement is both arbitrary and unfair.

When I contacted customer support, I was met with vague scripted responses from a representative named Queenie C. I asked for a refund and a specific explanation of the alleged violation. Instead of resolving the issue, the representative ended the conversation abruptly and my access was completely terminated.

I paid in full for a service I never got to use and was denied a refund or any meaningful communication. This is a deceptive billing practice and a violation of consumer trust.
