Century Link Century Links CEO made $1.0 Million in 2013, but the telephone wires have not been replaced in 30 years. I never have stable Internet connection. Century Link employees tell me there is no problem, make only make-shift repairs, lie and abuse me. The company charges are exorbitant and always higher. Belle Plaine Nationwide

Century Link does not provide reliable Internet connection because the lines are not maintained. Telephone lines have not been replaced in 30 years. My Internet was more off than on for 6 months because the entry box on the side of my house was so old that components disintegrated when the technician touched them. Problems continue because the lines between my house and the Central Office where the switches are located are cracked. Defective lines make it impossible to have a clear conversation. The noise on the line ruins the router/modem and brings down the Internet connection. Believe it or not the maximum upload speed is 765 Kbps, a speed adequate 30 years ago for dial up. Employees claim there is NO PROBLEM, lie, and insult and abuse the customer. The bill always goes up. There is no rebate for poor service. The FCC lost my letter of rebutal to Century Link's  claim that there is nothing wrong with my service, but had the company's letter on file. I am not stupid. I get it.... The company's CEO made nearly a million dollars in 2013, but can't provide adequate service.
