Century Link Terrible company to do business with Defiance, Ohio Nationwide

I've done business with Century Link for about 6 years.  Why?  Because they are the lowest price internet service provider in the area.  Is that a feather in their cap?  NO!  Because Century Link exists where I live, I cannot get subsidized rural dish internet-which is available by law only when other internet is not available.  So essentially the existence of Century Link here forces me to either do business with them or else pay very high prices.  I just wish they were not here.  But I am about to do away with them anyway because I am so disgusted with them.

In my 6 years of dealing with them, I have been over billed no less than 25 times.  I'm basically talking about instances where they claimed to have provided me with a discount, but they weasled the discount out and I had to call monthly to get them to fix the error.  Or when they slammed my elderly mother with internet-a lady that hasn't got the foggiest notion of how to use a computer.  The sheer amount of time spent on the phone fixing errors, being promised that they would not happen again and then calling again and again and again to fix them again and again and again...

Once I had a landline and the bills were so confusing that I could not complain about spending about a thousand dollars in three months for telephone and internet because there were so many debits and credits in so many places I had to give up.  Who has time for all this?  If these are really errors then why are they always in favor of them???  Why no "errors" in my favor?

Century link NEVER overlooks the opportunity to charge a late fee.  They tell you that you can auto-bill your credit card to avoid them but you KNOW they will make errors and over bill you and since possession is 10 tenths of the law with them, you are scared to put your bills on auto-bill.  Then a day or two late and pow.  At least Dish gives you a friendly call-Century Link WANTS you to be late.  And they have recently doubled their late fee.  And what are you late for?  Service you have not even gotten yet-they bill in advance.
