I’ve been trying to resolve a refund for two items that Amazon issued to a debit card linked to a closed bank account. I warned them in advance, but their agent Justin ignored me and processed the refund anyway. I later received an email confirming that it had been sent to the wrong account — exactly as I warned.

When I contacted customer service again, hoping to resolve the issue, I was shocked by what followed. Four Amazon agents (Justin, Julián, Natalia, and Ruth) hung up on me. They refused to escalate the issue, interrupted me, blamed me for closing my account, and treated me like I didn’t matter. One even said, “That’s not Amazon’s problem.” This was beyond disrespectful — it was emotional abuse.

I spent over three hours trying to speak with someone who could help. Instead, I was left feeling anxious, humiliated, and completely ignored. This entire experience has caused emotional distress, frustration, and mental exhaustion.

In contrast, a few agents like Juan, Zahid, and Angélica were respectful and tried to help, but unfortunately had no authority to resolve anything. That made the difference in treatment even more obvious.

I’ve reached out to @AmazonHelp on Twitter, emailed Jeff Bezos’ executive team, filed with the BBB, and left reviews on multiple platforms — all with no resolution.

Despite everything, Amazon reissued the refund again to the same closed account. I’ve had enough. This is not just a refund error — it’s a repeated pattern of negligence, poor training, and lack of human decency.
