Alert 1 defective buttons Williamsport Pennsylvania

    This is a medical alert fall system worn around neck Which cost $400.00.

    First large button went off 4 times while standing and moving normally.  I called in and reported this.  I was sent a smaller button which they said was not as sensitive.  The second one I wore it for a couple of weeks and that too was setting the machine off, since I continued to hit the cancel button several times more.  When I called to complain no one  told me I could return this system, since I had only 30 days to do so.

    One day I left the house to take my car to Kia Dealers for something ordered to be installed.  Before I got in the car I removed something to put in shed.  While driving to Kia Dealers, my daughter called and said the Fire Department was at my house.  They said my Alert1 was set off.  i was in shock, since I was fine and driving in my car.

    I called as soon as I got home.  The woman I talked to for awhile, since I was angry, finally admitted to me that they were having problems with these items; however, I could not get any refund, since I my 30 days were up.  She said this was something new they were using and she felt really bad about my situation. 

    I was informed by someone else that I paid for this for one year and could not get any money back.  I cannot wear it now, since I am afraid I will set it off again.  It is hanging from a drawer knob beside my bed.  i feel I have been conned into buying someting defective because I am elderly and an easy target.  Their sithe has no where to warn another elderly person.

    I now have to find another Medical Alert devise and am stuck with one that does not work as it is advertised it should.
