American Home Shield Another AHS Ripoff Carroll Iowa

Looks like I am joining a long list of frusterated customers of AHS.

We have been a customer for 11 years and have used AHS a couple of times with past repairs. However since being taken over by Servicemaster things have changed.

We have a 21 year old drop in range in our home that has been repaired once already. The knobs to this stove are broken and cannot be replaced, the timer and clock do not work and aren't covered. I put in a service request and was visited (July 8, 2008) by the repairman who stated the parts needed to repair this would be difficult to find since it is so old.

On July 17th after being told they were still searching, all this while my stove was barely working, I advised Rhonda (customer service) that I would be interested in a buyout. AHS went against this and ahead with ordering parts on July 23, without giving me an opportunity to a buyout. I have spoken to several reps, supervisors and managers (who don't call back). But the lies, stalling tactics and rudeness is unbelievable and consistent thourought this company!

They say I can no longer be offered a buyout since the parts were ordered, and they see on the notes to my account that I requested one BEFORE the parts were ordered. I don't believe there would be anyone in AHS who would accept this in their own circumstance.

They seem to just continue to wear you down in hopes you will just go away, well I am not going away! About the only thing going away will be my payment to them for the bogus contracts they are issuing!

Would love to see a class action suit brought against these thieves, and their lying employees!!
