I use BB & T. Like many, I've had a problem here a problem there. But, what your saying doesn't make much sence. They have different checking accounts, OK, but If you write many checks why would you use an account that charges for each check. I know when we opened an account 3 years or so ago, we were told all the types of checking accounts they have. The first question we were asked was if we would be writing many checks.

What I'm not quite understanding is the fact that you're saying you are charged a fee for every check you write. There worst checking account is "Basic Checking." Appearently that is what you have, but you have a certain amount of checks and ATM withdraws you can make each months statement cycle. We write at least 10 checks a month and we have Basic Checking and have never been charged. If you go under your $100 opening deposit you will be charged $8 and yes there is a service charge each month. (I think it's like $3 or so) If you planned on writing many checks, you should have gone with Regular Checking. No fees.

Again, what your saying doesn't make any sence. You DO NOT get charged for every check you write, only the checks over the specified # of checks you're allowed each month. And if your under your deposit you'll see another $8 charge. It almost sounds as if your going over your check limit and amount of money you have in your checking account, then common sence, you get charged about $25 for returned checks. I just really find this hard to believe. Maybe you can help the readers by letting us know how much these fees were? Then maybe we can help find out what's going on.
