I've been down completely for a week. When called, Centurylink accuses you of having problems within your own home and threatens a fee to fix issues. The problems are always on their end. They charge 39.99 for 3 mbps in my case, have been promising for over 5 years to increase speeds. They haven't. I consistently speed test and receive slower speeds that the 80% of the agreed 3 Mbps. Often getting less than 80% of 1.5 mbps. During business hours, the speeds are awful. As of today, I've now been completely down for 6 days and 18 hours. They were aware of the outage 3 hours after going down, and sent me a text message 12 hours later stating they were back up. They were not. The next business day (and down for 2+ days) I called customer service to be hung op up due to my correcting him for bad math on his part in the amount of time I was actually down. He stated they were still within a reasonable time to restore their services (48 hours) but I he was wrong with his math, and it actually approximately 63 hours. I called back and was finally able to get someone to admit they were outside the reasonable time to restore service, and I actually had to schedule for a tech to come out to their own hardware over a mile from my house to resolve the problem. The next available time was 4 days after the call. (6 days after service has been down). That was yesterday. My service continues to be down right now and my complaint is due to centurylink simply not being willing to maintain their equipment, not even knowing internally about its malfunction, their disregard to act quickly and reasonably, and an overall lack of empathy to their customers. I have mentioned that I do work online... And when I asked for help they made no effort to address the problems sooner than 4 days away.
