Dealing with these people is a nightmare.  I cancelled my Internet service last year due to a move but never received proper labels to return my modem. After inquiring for several weeks I finally got the label to return the modem.  After some time I got a bill form their collections agency for the modem!. What?!  I called several times, was put on hold for literally hours and the issue apparently got solved, I owed them nothing. Then I keep getting these bills that just wont stop, even after several calls.

And then I get even more of a run around. You know the routine, they transfer you to customer service and they say it's a financial department issue, then they transfer you to the financial department and guess what, it is a customer service issue. back and forth until you literally go insane.

I finally get through to a very rude lady who basically tells me that I have to pay up or else, even when I had the tracking number for the returned modem and everything!  On normal instances, I would consider this just criminal lack of organization from the company, who clearly does not care about customer service.  But after asking around other conned users I came to realize they use this disorganization as strategy to make some extra money.  I consider this harassment and I am seriously considering legal action.   Stay away from centurylink, there are thousands of people that don't have to be told twice.
