I quit doing business with Cox Cable because I had dropped them when I moved to a suburb of Oklahoma City.  When they starting offering service to my area, I considered going back.  I was informed that I owed over $200 for equipment that had been turned in.  I told them to forget it.  Who keeps receipts for two years, and why didn't they send me a bill if I owed for equipment.  I went to DirecTV for two years (big mistake).  

I decided in Sept. of 2015 to go back to Cox Cable after coming into some money and paying off the equipment charges.  They were at the Fairgrounds and offered me a $200 prepaid visa.  I did all the paper work and sent in all the forms, and got confirmation that I would get it after the 90 days were up.  They said to allow 4-6 weeks for processing.  A week before the 6 weeks was up, I called and asked what the status was.  The guy assured me I would have it next week on the very last day of the 6 weeks for processing.  That date came and went and still no prepaid visa.  I called again and was told to hang tight that everything was in the system.  I asked to speak with the supervisor.  The supervisor informed me that due to the overwhelming response, they were running behind. I guess they think we are all stupid, since most of this stuff is done electronically anyways.  I've waited the 90 days, and waited the 4-6 weeks.  Going on 5 months, and I'm still waiting for my prepaid card to be processed.  I have lost faith in a company that I really believed in before, and would tell friends about.  I will probably do away with all cable in the future if this is the trend.
