Cox Communications ripoff, service fee charged for unauthorized work. Phoenix Arizona

I called customer service to ask for a repair man to visit our home. It was explained that IF the cables in the home or on the property were damaged I would have to pay a 50.00 service fee. When the repair man came to the home I explained that I did NOT want any work done that would cause us to be charged in any way. He said no problem.

The next Month what did I see? A charge of 50.00 of course. I called the billing department and was given the run around. This is common practice it seems. They offered "insurance" at 5.00 a month to protect me in the future. Our digital cable bill is normally 70 plus dollars. There is NO competition here so they charge as they want.
