Three years ago my wife and I leased a Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Good car, lousy lease. My wife was the primary on the lease and even after requesting that I be able to communicate with Hyundai Motor Finance, including signing the proper documents, Hyundai Motor Finance refused to do so, even to the point of refusing to take timely payments on the lease.

had to go through Western Union twice because Hyundai Motor Finance would not send bills in a timely manner. Now, after three years, we turned in the Genesis Coupe and purchased a new Veloster. We were told by the dealership, Henderson Hyundai of Henderson, Nevada more than once, in fact more than twice that there would be no problem with the early termination of the lease since we were purchasing a new vehicle.

Now we have a demand letter claiming it is an attempt to collect a debt from Hyundai Motor Finance and again Hyundai Motor Finance refuses to speak with me. My wife, being a high school teacher goes to work before the phones open and comes home after they close, yet Hyundai Motor Finance, even with our signatures allowing such communication on file continues its asinine policy.

The coupe was a great car, but if you have to deal with Hyundai Motor Finance to lease it, get a chevy.

Good car, lousy lease.
- And you expected a good (f)lease?

Western Union twice because Hyundai Motor Finance would not send bills in a timely manner.
- Why would you need to wait until the bill came?  Did your payment date change every month?  Did the payment change?   Could you not call the 24 Hour AUTOMATED information to find this out?

in fact more than twice that there would be no problem with the early termination of the lease since we were purchasing a new vehicle.
- So what do you have in writing that states this?

My wife, being a high school teacher goes to work before the phones open and comes home after they close,
- I didn't realize High School teachers worked 13-14 Hours a day.  According to their website they have the following hours.

Customer Service Department
1-800-523-4030
Monday - Friday, 8AM to 9PM (Eastern)

Collections Department
1-800-523-7020

Saturday, 8AM to 3PM (Eastern)
