What do you call it when you say that you're only going to charge $1 but end up charging someone $40? I call it FRAUD!

 

This was their response after I told them that I did NOT authorize this charge -

 

"Hello John,

 Thank you for contacting Rocket Lawyer support.

I have researched your account and you have actually canceled everything on the account and was charged both the $39.95 and the $1.00. Please be advised that we have processed a refund in the amount of $40.95 to the credit/debit card you used on Rocket Lawyer.

Please allow up to 7/10 business days for the credit to post to your card by your financial institution.

Additionally, your Rocket Lawyer account has been downgraded to the Free Membership level.  If you wish to join a Legal Plan you are welcome to do so at any time you may do so by visiting our sign up page.

If you have further billing concerns, please contact us directly at refunds@rocketlawyer.com

Yes, I eventually received the refund.

Again I'd recommend looking at your practices.

You have a good product but your policies and procedures will lose you more business!
