We purchased 52 vending machines from MultiVend,(Vendstar now), on June 13, 2005. They suggested Vending Dreams as a locating company.

We signed a contract with Vending Dreams and paid them a $1,300.00 deposit to place our machines. After not hearing from Vending Dreams for 2 weeks, I called them. They told me that I had to sponsor a charity.

I now sponsor National Childrens Cancer Society. I let Vending Dreams know that I found a charity to sponsor. Staci promised that we would hear from a locator soon.

I could not reach Vending Dreams. All I would get was an answering service.

I became concerned. I called Vendstar and they had me work with Larry Kaplan (800-278-9108)to get my telephone calls through to Vending Dreams.

They gave me excuses one after another. Their office moved down the hall from where they had been located, Ashley had an emergency concerning her up coming wedding, the president was in a car accident and Ashley had to address his responsabilities, Ashley's wedding and honeymoon, the locator was in a car accident, or the locator lost his phone.

We fired Vending Dreams 3 times. Every time we were told that someone was on their way and nobody showed up.

At one point Vending Dreams sent me an email that said that they would give me a discount or a refund. But I guess that since nobody signed the email they didn't feel that they had to honor it.

Six months later a man and his son show up to locate our machines. My husbands days off fell on the days that they were here and they said we had to take them to place our machines because they did not have a truck.

Because of short notice the children had to ride along. Making it so my husband did not go in to hear what was being said to place the machines.

The locator stated that they would be done placing the machines the following day and that they expected to be paid promptly. We let him know that we wanted to inspect the locations to make sure that we approved of them before we would pay for their servises.

He was adamant that they could not wait for their money. If we would not pay them, as soon as they placed the machines, they would not give us the business cards to the businesses they had placed the machines. If I did not intend to pay them right away they would keep the machines they had in there possesion as payment for their services.

I called Ashley, at Vending Dreams, and let her know that I expected to approve the locations that our machines were placed. It was stated in our contract that we would be able to do so before money exchanged hands. She said that the locators would not be in the area that long and I had to pay them when they were done placing the machines.

I was not happy with this and told her that I did not want them to place anymore of our machines. Ashley told me to pay for what was placed and she would settle up with the locators.

I felt that I did not owe anything since I had already paid $1,300.00 deposit. But I would not get my machines back from the locator if I did not pay him for his services.

Well we paid the locator and went to find the machines that they had placed. We hit one wall after another.

First the businesses did not know who the machines belonged to. They were supposed to give them our business card.

Second the businesses were told that all the profits went to the charity. When they were told by us that only a percentage went to the charity they wanted the machines removed.

We have not found 4 of the machines and at least one has been stolen. We bought a business license for state, city and county which for six months we have been paying on

This adventure has taken my life savings. I had hopes of being able to stay home and care for my infant grandchildren, for wich I have guardianship of. Instead I have a garage full of flimsy vending machines and stale candy.Working for $6.50 an hour, and paying 2/3 of that to a daycare.

Beware! "Vending Dreams" "Vending Night Mare"!!!

Leesa:

How is everything going so far?

You still have hope that you can place machines. If you want look me up in the Phila area and you can find me. Wanderful is my vending name. Let me know the charity.

This is for anyone else as well. I still place machines and refuse to give these morons any money whatsoever. Not happening. Just find the time to do what I have to do.

Once you dot the i's and cross the t's you won't ever see that money again. You signed the contract and when you do then you have to fight these idiots.

They won't return my phone calls or email me back b/c they know they're going down. Your not getting your $1300 back at all.

I work for a franchise owner and no way. That money is gone. Once again falling in the trap. I would however call the Gov's office and tell them who these people are.

If the attorney generals office isn't doing anything call the Governors office and tell them your threatening to sue the location company and you will go after the state. You have the right to. The company is supposed to be doing a service by what the contract says and they're not.

Tell them your being threatened.

Steve,I thank you for being so kind to my report about Vending Dreams. I have read other comments that you have made to other victims and I'm disappointed in your lack of understanding.

I moved to the Reno,NV area in March. I was not formiliar with the area at all. My home is nearly twenty miles from the city itself.

Yes I'm angry and disappointed in myself, for not checking references.

We have spoke to three different attorney's in NV and they suggested that we cut our losses. We would have to hire an attorney in IL. Who knows we might get ripped off by an attorney to.

We have reported our situation to the Illinois Attorny General. The National Childrens Cancer Society and BBB is aware of our plight.

You and the NCCS are the only ones that seem to think we are in a posission to hire an attorney.

First thing you do is call an attorney, the attorney generals office and file a lawsuit immediately and gather others on someones be half.

If you feel threatened call the authorities and have it filed and documented.

$1300 you lost an investment, you lost pure profit and I just can't believe how many people fall for this company b/c if this company ever does get sued I want to know about it. I'm curious how much you paid for on the machines which are an asset. And if your telling like it is call the IRS and have them audit the company. They don't return phone calls then theres a problem. I know b/c I asked for references. Breach of contract thats another problem. I have machines from a different company in which I was told up front a charity is required. You should have just placed them yourselves. Vendstar would have given you the option and they should take blame into this as well. Its your money. Don't listen to everything people tell you just b/c you think its true. YOUR NOT GETTING THAT MONEY BACK unless you fight back. If I were you I'd file bankruptcy or something and then go after them for misrepresentation on the contract.
