Samsung manufactured and sold a refrigerator with known defects Ridgefield Park New Jersey

In 2017, Samsung put out an internal service report regarding the ice makers in their refrigerators freezing up.  Yet they continue to sell and manufacture refrigerators with a defective ice maker to this day. I am no the only one they scammed. There are thousands of us. There are news articles and reports dedicated to this issue. There are BBB complaints and small claims court cases. There's a social media page with thousands of people dedicated to this issue.  

My refrigerator was manufactured in 2019.  2 years after the memo. 7 months after purchase, they came and repaired it (but I suspect they defrosted it) and continued to string me along for the next 4 1/2 years and over 8 "repairs".  They then offered a prorated refund based on the 10 years they say is the life of the refrigerator.  10 years!  They don't disclose that either.

In small claims court they lied and said my ice maker didn't freeze up until it was 5 years old.  That would have been 2 months after I filed the case.  I have the repair tickets but they do not mention the reason for the repair.  Samsung knew I couldn't prove this with their tickets.  I had the chats saying that my ice maker is frozen.  I was not allowed to use them as evidence unless the Samsung person was there to collaborate.  Samsung sent an attorney who I suspect spends all day fielding these scams in court.  So at the end of the day, they offered a prorated amount about 1/2. I was lucky.  Other stories never got that far.

 People are being cheated every day.  And the consumer protection agency is dragging their feet to do
