I have been a loyal Samsung customer for years, trusting their phones, TVs, monitors, and wearables. When I purchased the Galaxy Ring with Samsung Care+, I believed I was investing in reliable support and hassle-free protection. What I got instead was a frustrating, exhausting, and infuriating experience that made me question whether Samsung Care+ is nothing more than a scam. Samsung's Customer Service System is Designed to Exhaust You A few weeks after purchase, my Galaxy Ring stopped charging. I contacted Samsung, assuming Care+ would make the process simple. Instead, I got caught in an intentional runaround that felt like Samsung was trying to make me give up rather than get help. The website told me to call a phone number.
The phone number sent me to an automated system that emailed me. The email directed me back to the phone number I started with. When I finally spoke to a live agent, they transferred me between Warranty and Care+ departments, each saying the issue belonged to the other. I was put on hold for 30 minutes or more between transfers, only to be told to "try charging it again” even though the device was completely dead. This cycle repeated for days with no resolution. Temporary Hope, Permanent Failure After three days of wasted time, the ring randomly started charging again. No thanks to Samsung, I thought I had avoided further hassle. A few weeks later, the issue returned, and then the ring completely died. It would not charge, register on my phone, or reset. I contacted Samsung again, only to go through the exact same scripted troubleshooting, transfers, and hold times.
Even when I pleaded for help, I was forced to fight my way through multiple departments before someone finally agreed to process a warranty repair. Samsung Care+ Fails to Deliver on Its Promises Samsung advertises Care+ as a program that provides: Next-business-day replacements. My case took multiple days and unnecessary escalation. Unlimited claims for mechanical failure. I had to fight to get them to acknowledge a legitimate defect. 24/7 expert support.
Most of my interactions were with agents reading from a script, offering no real expertise. Buyer Beware: Samsung Care+ is Not Worth It If you value your time and sanity, think twice before investing in Samsung Care+. The service sounds great in theory, but if something goes wrong, you will be left to deal with a broken system designed to wear you down. Samsung needs to fix its customer service before losing more loyal customers.

Samsung is trash

Samsung makes overpriced and under-engineered garbage. The only reason they survive is hype, saturation advertising, and the short memory of most people. Pretty much everything I have ever bought from them died within a couple of months of the warranty expiring. They seldom have replacement parts available and many of their products are not serviceable at all. Like most manufacturers, their general policy is to deny most warranty claims, and to make it difficult to get service. I no longer buy anything made by them, and haven't found a downside yet.
