I'd like to report a company that has come out of nowhere and is trying to establish a name for themselves. Line 6 products have a lot of promise, bells and whistles, along with a price tag to match. So I paid big bucks after seeing an hd147 demonstrated. It sounded so good and the programming capability really appealed to me. So, i get it home and jam without a problem for about three months.
Then it started shorting out for some reason. I replaced all my cords and then tried contacting line 6 to see where i could get it repaired because it has to be in the head.
This was an ordeal. Line 6 has some faq track thing for stupid questions. This was no help whatsoever. I never knew if my emails for support were received because they were never answered. It shouldn't be that hard to email a company. I finally got a repair tech, the only one in my state..he was a moron and went out of business before repairing my hd147. The guy kept my hd147 for a month before calling me back to pick it up unrepaired.
So, now i need to contact line 6 and see what a real person says. Guess what, line 6 customer service is long distance NOT TOLL FREE! This tells you the customer at line6 doesn't care about your problems. I called long distance and finally got a real person after the automated obligatory wait. They had to call me back, which made me happy to hang up! Line 6 did call back eventually and were no help whatsoever. The guy i talked to sounded out of it and didn't impress me as a business should.
I found a repair guy closer to me and have taken it in twice now and still cannot figure out what is wrong with it. I hate line 6 and the fact that I thought they were a reputable company!
As for me I sticking to the old favorites and still the best

these are just some of the Best companies around and they have been around for decades...You can trust these to take care of your equipment> DONT USE LINE 6 PRODUCTS THEY SUCK! lol lineshitz is what i call them now!

Yes, my line 6 hd147 head that cost me almost
a thousand dollars american is still in the shop
after a month. The local technician has replaced a couple of parts and still the hd147 by line 6 won't work! You'd think line 6 would be of help, but the technician says they are no help and as a matter of fact goes on to tell me how line 6's programs have a lot of bugs in them. The electronics technician tells me too that he gets
a lot of line 6 business because line 6 has
defective products and they really don't care to address them. Even line 6's website is confusing when it comes to customer service. I've emailed them with no repsonse. I've called customer service, which is long distance I might add, and again no help. You'd think I could send the piece of crap line 6 head back the them, but noooooo, they don't want to take it. I should've shopped around and I won't make the same mistake again believe me. I have other effects that sound just as good without the cost and without
breaking down on me with no chance of repair.
I can't tell you how frustrated and ripped off i feel. Anyway, DO NOT BUY LINE 6 products period!
I still am calling them line shitz!
