Well, I am not sure where to begin with this company, but here goes. Last year I bought a 2005 Dodge Ram and Wells Fargo is who I ended up using. A few months later I lost my son and had a ton of medical bills to take care of that my medical ins. did not cover, so I called Wells Fargo to ask them for a month or two extension on my truck payments and explained the situation to them. After talking to about five to six different people about the situation they finally agreed.

Well about three weeks after that phone call to them I walk outside to get something out of my truck and there is a tow truck sitting there in my drive way with a letter from wells fargo asking me for my keys because they were going to repo my truck. I did not give them the keys and they inturn called the Police. After the cops showed up I had to give them my keys.

Well about a week went by and I was going to get my truck back so I called WF up and asked how much I had to pay. They told me that I had to pay 1289.00 PLUS the storage fee to the repo company, so I go down and pay that ammount and faxed in all the required paperwork to get it back, I call the repo lot to let them know I was coming to pick up my truck and they told me that WF had instructed them to send it to an auction in San Antonio, not to mention I live in Galveston, I eventually tracked it down to the auction in SA and found out I had to pay another 1575 PLUS 771 to the auction company for storing my truck. Well all in all I got my truck back after a ton of money and when I got in it to take it home I found my brand new truck with about 1500 extra miles, no gas, my truck was covered in mud (it is the 2005 off-road 4x4), scratches and a few dings, empty beer bottles in the back seat, and worst of all a JOINT in my ashtray. I don't smoke the stuff myself and don't mind those who do just not in my truck or around me.

I inform WF and they tell me that there is nothing they can do about it. NOW if I am one day past my due date they call my job, my house, my cell phone and my relatives trying to find out when they are going to get the payment otherwise they are going to take it again. I will NEVER use this company again and I have told everyone I know NOT TO USE WELLS FARGO. They are the biggest ripoff SOB's in the market.

I had to say something

Wells from Somewhere, Florida

If you were to be totally honest about how Wells Fargo does business, I bet you would admit that the WF employee that helped Robert set up this "agreement" outright lied to him. I would also go as far as to say that this WF employee never once mentioned to Robert that this was some sort of request subject to approval, and not an agreement. If Robert's experience with this joke of a company was anything like mine, I can guarantee that he was told that this was an agreement and everything was "worked out".

I would also bet my next weeks paycheck that when he called WF back to find out what was going on, nobody had a clue as to who this person (WF employee) was that he made this agreement with and there was not any notes on any agreement that was made.

Robert, when you did call WF back after the repo, how many times did you have to call to get any type of answer, and how long did you sit on hold each time? As far as you never using this company again, you might and not even know it. I didn't use them the first time, they bought my loan.

Oh and to anyone who thinks about reporting WF to the Attorney General, they will lie to them too. You can prove with documentation that they are lying and the Attorney General does not care. That is big business in America, the little guy does not stand a chance. I'm glad that there are websites like this, it feels good to vent and it would be great if people could stand together, get the word out and put them out of business for the way they treat their customers, but that will never happen.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Repo'd Vehcial

AUTHOR: Wells - (U.S.A.)

I am a former employee of Wells Fargo Financial. Concerning the condition of the vechical when your got it back, that is of no fault of Wells Fargo. You would need to file a complaint with the Repo company and the aution site...

As for the defferment, How past due where you? And when they "agreed" to the defferement, was it an immediate Yes? Probably not. If you got a collector to "agree" to the defferement, the only thing they are doing is putting in the request... It is not approved until a supervisior or manager reviews it... Did you ever get a letter in the mail??? Wells Fargo sends out a Denial letter or approval letter within 5 business days of the request. Did you ever call back to check the status? For a faster response your should call back to see if it was approved.

If your vechical got repo'd I am going to step out on a limb and say your account was over 60 days past due... The reason why I say so... Wells Fargo will typically does not start the repo process until after 60 days delq. If you are over 60 day deliquent that means you owe 3 payments... The deferement may have been denied because WF will only defere a max of 2 pymts at a time... If the defferemnt does not completely cure the loan (Get account current) the defferement will be declined.

Before your vechical is repo'd WF makes every attempt at trying to contact you... by mail or phone...

If there is anything I can help anyone with regaurding WF please feel free to contact me...
