I had an accident on december 8,2012. My insurance company set me up to get a rental from Enterprise located in Danbury,CT. I went to the location and a representative told me a black color ford focus is available for me to use and I said ok. We went outside he walked around the car pretty quick and showed the dent, and scratches that the car had and he note of it. He asked if I wanted collision coverage that they sell, I said no since I had my own insurance. Then he just told me to inital the forms and then I was on my way. Two weeks Later, I returned the car and another represantative told me he needed to inspect the vehicle and according to him there are scratches on a portion of the roof, I said if he was joking and he said no, I said to show me the car looks in perfect condition same way I took it and the same way I returned it. He pointed out the scratch on top of rear left roof. A scratch that you have to get very close to see it. This car was giving to me with preexisting scratches, the representative was quick with the walkthrough of the car and never saw the roof. Now they are blaming me for scratch on the roof and that they need to file a claim with my insurance or otherwise I have to pay for that scratch. This is a scam by this since I decided not to purchase the collision coverage now they are finding ways to suck more money out of me or my insurance. I am going also file complaints with BBB and attorney general's office.

Yes, Enterprise is indeed a JOKE of a company. Unfortunately, it's not a FUNNY joke to those of us who have rented from this criminal enterprise. One thing is for certain - Jack Taylor will be trying to rent cars in Hell one day.

Enterprise is awful

I worked for this awful company. This is normal for them to try this sort of thing. They also try and rip people off with their damage waiver. It's where the majority of their profits come from. When I worked there, you couldn't be promoted unless you sold their rip off product at 40%. So, in other words, you had to sell their bogus "insurance" to 40% of your customers / screw 40% of them, to even have a chance at being promoted. They're a terrible employer. Their recruiting is also deceptive too. They never told me about this garbage when I interviewed and took a job with them. Then, on the first day of training they dump the 40% requirement and the fact that we have to sell this crap to people. Needless to say, I don't like screwing people and lasted only 6 months. By the time I left, every lower level management position in my branch has left, which was 6 or 7 college graduates. Oh, and the pay is a smidge above minimum wage.

And this exactly why I've nicknamed the company "Criminal Enterprise." Wonder why none of their apologists haven't disputed my claim that they're running a scam?

Oh, goody. Another "canned" response from Enterprise, the Scam King of Car Rentals. I would be VERY leery of anything they try to offer you. It's my opinion that, just as the other poster stated, Enterprise and its employees are nothing but scum, and will try to scam you in any way possible.

Yes, indeed. That is Enterprise. They will charge YOU and many future renters for that same scratch. Just Google "Enterprise Rent A Car complaints". You'll get more than 1,500,000 results. Yes, that's ONE MILLION, FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND reports filed online against Enterprise. And their scams include not only fraudulently charging multiple customers for the SAME damage on a vehicle, but there's also the "Damage Waiver" scam, where they sign you up for their Damage Waiver without you even knowing about it, and charging customers out the wazoo for it. Just read a few of the complaints filed against them.
Enterprise Rent A Car was named after the Aircraft Carrier USS Enterprise. In my opinion, this company, and Jack Taylor personally ( the owner of the company ), are dragging the name of this great vessel through the mud. He ought to be charged with defamation of character. He's nothing but SCUM for doing this to the American public. Him and all of his employees who willing go along with his scams.
Not only is he a scumbag, but he is listed as being the 18th richest man in America. I wonder how he got all of that money.........BY USING THE NAME OF THE USS ENTERPRISE TO SCAM AMERICANS !! Scum......pure unadulterated scum. Him and his scamming company.
